Former Olympian and Captain of the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team’s dreams for children.
On February 3, 2018, Hui Ruoqi officially announced her retirement, ending her 10-year national team career. From an athlete to a philanthropy practitioner, she retired from the court, but started her life journey on the road of philanthropy. In order to become a philanthropic professional with an international perspective and social innovative influence, she started the study of the EMP program at CGPI in May 2019, and worked with more like-minded partners on the road of philanthropy.
Hui Ruoqi, an EMP student
from the CGPI, an Olympic champion and former Chinese women's volleyball
leader, has achieved her dream within ten years through hard work. After retiring,
she actively devoted herself to philanthropy and rushed around to build sports
classrooms for children in mountainous areas. From an athlete to a philanthropy
practitioner, she has always concentrated on what she loves. She said that
"Sports have changed my life, and I expect to leave a positive impact on more
children.”
