  • Ma Weihua Chairman of the Board

    Former President of China Merchants Bank

    Ma Weihua is Chairman of the One Foundation, Director General of the National Fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Guidance Fund, Executive Chairman of the China Alliance of Social Value Investment (CASVI), and serves as an adjunct professor at Peking University, Tsinghua University and other prestigious universities. Prior to his current work with CGPI, he was President of the China Merchants Bank. Dr. Ma served as Deputy to the 10th National People’s Congress, and as a member of the 11th and 12th National Committee of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Congress. He was also awarded a Commander of the Order of the Star of Italy. Mr. Ma is passionate about integrating social impact into corporate practices, particularly in the field of finance. He is a strong proponent of social finance, impact investment, charitable trusts, social enterprises, etc. For his work in the social sector, Dr. Ma was appointed as United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Special Advisor and member of the SDG Financing Advisory Committee.

  • Ai Luming Trustee

    Founder and Chairman of Dangdai Group

    Ai Luming was formerly Chairman of Society of Entrepreneurs and Ecology (SEE) and Executive Director of SEE Foundation. He serves on the boards of the Greater China Region of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)’s China Region. Dr. Ai is also an IUCN Patron of Nature. Mr. Ai Luming has been awarded the title of " China Philanthropy Figures " for many times for what he had done for environmental protection. Ai Luming and the nearly one thousand entrepreneur members of SEE have been always personally participating in environmental protection practices and exploring new modes of environmental protection. They put their fund and resources into the environmental protection, help with network building and maintaining. They have applied business wisdom to create environmental values and solve social problems, therefore become a model of modern innovation and welfare governance in serving the public interest. Dr. Ai is the founder and president of Wuhan Dangdai Science and Technology Industries Ltd. He holds a Doctorate in Economics from Wuhan University.

  • Chen Yueguang Trustee

    Mr. Chen Yueguang serves in leadership roles for many charitable and academic institutions. These include as vice president of the China Charity Alliance , VP of the Academy of Chinese Culture, chairman of Westlake University’s board of director’s governance committee, deputy executive chairman of the Westlake Education Foundation, and chairman of Dunhe Foundation. Mr. Chen is a research fellow or adjunct professor at several universities and academic institutions including Beijing Normal University and the China National Academy of Arts. His works include A Thoughtful Practitioner, The Academy of Chinese Culture in the 1980s, Humility, and The Ambition of Public Welfare. Mr. Chen has been active in the philanthropic sector for over 30 years and has been recognized as one of the national “China Philanthropy Figures” (awarded annually) several times. He also previously worked in media and in the cultural space. In the 1980’s he was deputy editor-in-chief of the “Step into the Future,” a popular and influential books series.

    Raymond (Ray) T. Dalio is the Founder, Chairman & Co-Chief Investment Officer Bridgewater Associates, LP, a global leader in institutional portfolio management and the largest hedge fund in the world. A global macro investor for more than 50 years, Ray started Bridgewater out of his two-bedroom apartment in NYC and has grown it into the fifth most important private company in the U.S., according to Fortune. He is also the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller Principles: Life & Work as well as Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises. His other interests include philanthropy and ocean exploration. He graduated with a B.S. in Finance from C.W. Post College in 1971, where he majored in finance, and he received an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1973.

  • Lei Yongsheng Trustee

    Chairman of the Lao Niu Foundation

    Mr. Lei Yongsheng is the Chairman of the Lao Niu Foundation. He also serves as the chief supervisor of the China Charity Alliance, vice chairman of the China Foundation Center, director of China Social Enterprise and Impact Investment Forum, and vice chairman of the China Inner Mongolia Branch the Red Cross Society. He was honored as one of the "40 People in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up" by the China Charity Alliance, and as a “Top 100 Most Influential People Engaged in China’s Philanthropy” for three years in a row. The China Philanthropy Research Institute awarded him Honorary Director for Life. Mr. Lei previously worked for the Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy Group, serving as chief administrative officer, executive vice president, and secretary of the board. In 2008, transferred roles to serve as Secretary-General of the Lao Niu Foundation and later became the foundation’s Chairman.

    Director of Philanthropic Partnerships of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

    Robert leads a team that oversees the foundation’s relationship with philanthropists and charitable organizations across the globe. Previously Rosen served as Director of the foundation’s Executive Office and in various roles in Communications. Before joining the foundation in 2007, Robert served as Senior Director of the Corporate Finance Practice of the Corporate Executive Board, the international business strategy and research firm. Previously he served as Political Director for Senator Edward M. Kennedy, and in the White House as Assistant to the President and Director of Advance for President Clinton. Robert received a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont.

    Mr. Liu is the deputy president and general secretary of China Association of Social Workers, President of China Philanthropy Times, dean of the Institute of Social Work at the Open University of China, and Independent Director of the Fuyao Glass Group. Mr. Liu Jing’s prior experience includes leadership roles in government, media, social organizations, and education. He was previously the chairmen of two listed companies in Hong Kong. In 2001, Liu Jing established China Philanthropy Times, China’s premier information source on the philanthropic sector. Each year, China Philanthropy Times evaluates China’s top philanthropists and corporate donors as part of its China Charity Ranking. Over the past 17 years, China Charity Ranking has evaluated 2689 philanthropists and 7084 enterprises. As a sector leader, Mr. Liu also contributes to industry research and conferences. He is the editor of the annual publications, the Blue Book of Charitable Donations Development in China and the Report on Corporate Social Responsibility in China.
