On August 1, 2025, the China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI) launched the opening ceremony for its 21st Executive Management in Philanthropy (EMP) cohort in Shenzhen. Centered on the pillars of passion, mission, and practical action, the event galvanized new scholars by instilling conviction to pursue philanthropic ideals, driving momentum for sustained accountability, and sparking the pioneering spirit needed to deliver innovative solutions. The cohort comprises professionals from 14 cities spanning 13 provinces and autonomous regions, with representatives from corporate and cross-sector backgrounds accounting for 37.8% of attendees, foundation professionals comprising 35.2%, and social service organizations representing 5.4%. Boasting an average 9.4 years of frontline philanthropy experience, members bring expertise across key sectors including children’s welfare, educational advancement, corporate social responsibility initiatives, public health, volunteer mobilization, and community development.
