The Inaugural Meeting of the Alumni Development Committee of The China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI) was solemnly held at the Shenzhen campus on the morning of June 5. CGPI Board Chairman Ma Weihua and President Chen Hongshan attended and addressed the event, while Assistant President Song Houliang presided. Over thirty alumni representatives gathered both online and offline for in-depth discussions on the Committee’s work, collectively launching a new chapter for alumni engagement.
The Alumni Development Committee serves as CGPI’s official platform for alumni affairs, leading all alumni initiatives. Leveraging the Institute’s brand, curriculum, facilities, and networks, the platform will establish a home for philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, and charitable professionals.
In this new phase, alumni activities will be structured around the Three Core Pillars and Four Major Initiatives, including the Alumni Development Committee, digital alumni ecosystem development, Alumni Development Fund, along with upcoming programs launching from July: domestic research visits, international research tours, alumni lecture series, and alumni forums.
The college remains committed to fostering co-creation among alumni. "An individual’s strength may be modest," noted leadership, "but collective action generates transformative impact. CGPI will always be the lasting home for its alumni community."
