On April 8, 2025, Chen Yueguang, Dean of the Chinese Culture Academy and former Board Member of the International Philanthropy Institute, visited the institute. He engaged in in-depth discussions with the leadership and faculty representatives oninnovative philanthropic education models, alumni resource integration, and the institute'shistorical positioning in China's social development trajectory.
As a lifelong advocate forintegrating traditional Chinese cultural values with modern philanthropy, Chen reflected on the institute's journey while standing before the historical photo wall. Recalling his impassioned commencement speech, he reiterated his timeless call to action: "Approach ideals with an idealistic vision; treat work as a lifelong vocation; strive to become the greatest students in China's history." His words—"A person devoted to philanthropy should have the courage to become poetry, carving a new horizon with every step"—continue to inspire generations of alumni in theirmission-driven fieldwork.
President Chen further emphasized: "The institute must transcend traditional education boundaries. Just as Project Hope redefined socialized philanthropy and the Wenchuan Earthquake awakened civic consciousness, we are now scripting a new chapter inecosystemic restructuring—one that interweaves cultural legacy with AI-era innovations."
