From August 23 to 29, The China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI) conducted its "2026 UK Social Enterprise and Social Innovation Practice Course" in the UK. Over six intensive days, 18 participants traveled across Oxford, Bristol, and London, visiting or engaging with more than 20 social enterprises, nonprofits, and professional support organizations, and exchanging ideas with founders, social innovators, investors, and frontline practitioners.
Led by renowned UK social innovator Michael Norton, the course used cities as classrooms and combined lectures, case sharing, workshops, site visits, and community observation. Focusing on themes such as disability inclusion, social finance, community innovation, and AI-driven social innovation, it explored how social innovation evolves from an idea into sustainable and replicable action.
