On May 29, 2026, the seminar "Latest Trends and Exchange Landscape of China-US Philanthropy in a Global Perspective," co-hosted by the Columbia Global Centers | Beijing and the Shenzhen International Foundation for Philanthropy (CGPI), was successfully held in Beijing.
The seminar focused on core current issues and future prospects, conducting an in-depth analysis of the commonalities and differences between the philanthropic ecosystems of China and the United States. In her opening remarks, Shawna, Director of Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, noted that as China's international status rises, it has become an inevitable mission to integrate Chinese experience into addressing global issues. She introduced that the center launched the Richard Rockefeller Philanthropy Fellows Program in 2025, aimed at providing a cross-sector empowerment platform for actors tackling climate change.
