On January 12, 2017, The List of 2016 Top 100 Philanthropists of China (in short, The List of 2016) was formally released in Beijing by China Philanthropy Research Institute, Beijing Normal University (in short, CPRI) and Family Philanthropy Legacy Centre, China Global Philanthropy Institute (in short, CGPI).
Twenty nine Chinese families figured heavily in a list of the 100most influential family donors worldwide, with most of them donating to the education and poverty alleviation sectors, according to a report by China Global Philanthropy Institute.
Dec. 25: GPL Student Wu Jinjiang announced the establishment of the Kunchen Brothers Fund, named after his sons. He then donated every cent of monetary gifts totaling RMB ¥180,000 that he received at the 100 Days’ Party for his son.
