On the occasion of the 15th World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2022, the China Disabled Persons’ Federation put forward the theme slogan: “Focus on Autism Services: Build a Social Security Mechanism and Promote the High-Quality Development of Service Organizations”.
As an important institution for the cultivation of professional capabilities of social forces, CGPI, focusing on the employment issues of older autistic groups, discussed the workplace dilemma and breakthrough paths of these groups through online and offline philanthropy forums in cooperation with a number of EMP alumni, including Wen Hong, chairman of China Association of Persons with Psychiatric Disability and their Relatives; Li Junfeng, executive director of Beijing Xiaogeng Foundation for the Disabled; Zhang Junru, founder of Beijing Golden Wings Art Rehabilitation Service Center for Disabled Children; Zhang Ailing, founder and CEO of Jinan Leganer Service Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities; Fu Shuai, general manager of Beijing Foreign Language Teaching and Research Bookstore; and a number of media. At the same time, Zeng Weiling, senior director of the Social Policy Research Center of CGPI, on behalf of the research group, released the research results of the “Report on the Needs and Services of Older People with Autism”, which was jointly completed by the research team and the Tencent Foundation.
