Estimated at the incidence rate of 1%, there are at least 10 million people with autism in China, which is increasing at a rate of nearly 200,000 each year. However, the research on autism in China started late, and there were still a lot of gaps in social welfare and social services, so it was urgently needed to establish and provide a reliable service and security system for autism groups and their families.
April 2, 2022 is the 15th World Autism Awareness Day. The research team of CGPI released the “Report on the Needs and Services of Older People with Autism” and cases jointly with the Tencent Foundation, focusing on issues related to older people with autism, so as to help them grow up in inclusive education, live independently relying on their own, and integrate into society better
