Xi pointed out that the two countries should implement close and deep communication for promoting better and faster development of the Sino-French relations in new period. The two countries should nurture new hightlights for growth in cooperation continuously, accelerate the promotion to the cooperation in urban sustainable development, green manufacturing, finance and other emerging fields, drive more power to positively participate in Sino-French cooperation, continuously promote the local cooperation to be sustainable and deep, and solidly advance cultural exchanges for boosting the long-term cooperation and mechanism construction in various fields.

During the afternoon of January 9, Macron held closed-door talks to Chinese entrepreneur representatives, including Ma Weihua, Chairman of the Board of China Global Philanthropy Institute, Ma Yun, Chairman of the Board of Alibaba Group, Liu Qiangdong, Chairman of the Board and CEO of JD.com, and Pan Shiyi, Chairman of the Board of SOHO China. Macron said, the two countries will advance strategic cooperative partnership, not only in the cooperation in industrial areas, but also in the financial service, silver economy, startup companies and other areas. Macron thought that the two countries should explore new areas of economic and trade cooperation. In the face of challenges posed by global economy, the two countries should reinforce the innovation and energy transition, and make contributions in economy and trade multilateralism field.
