On Apr. 9, Ma Weihua, Chairman of China Global Philanthropy Institute, met with Achim Steiner, Administrator of UNDP, at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
During this meeting, both sides discussed widely on sustainable finance and other related topics. They explored how China would help the implementation of sustainable finance based on the existing pilot projects and research results, and how to cooperate on the promotion of impact management and evaluation, sustainable development investment and its information, etc., especially the promotion of exchanges and cooperation among investors, enterprises, governments and development partners.
UNDP hired Chairman Ma Weihua to join the SDG Impact Steering Group before. The Steering Group is composed of 10 members, all of whom are leading figures and thought leaders from the financial industry and enterprises. UNDP will hold the inauguration ceremony of the SDG Impact Steering Group this year, which will be officially released globally, hoping to promote worldwide capital synergy on The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
